How Trampoline Parks Can Benefit from Digital Waivers

Do you have a cluttered desk? Maybe you have a desk better described as “organized chaos.” One of the biggest causes of clutter and disorganization is paper. Yes, you can be disorganized in the digital world, too, but it’s a lot harder.

Get In The Now

When you need to track down a form, or update a customer’s information, you know you need to be working in the digital age. But, did you know that one of the best ways you can bring your trampoline park point of sale software into the future is with the implementation of digital waivers?

Searchable

First, it’s so much easier to find what you’re looking for when you can use the “search” function on your computer. Think of it as a fairy godmother, summoning the paperwork you need, right to your screen. With paper, you’re on your own. And your filing system may be great, but it will take up room.

Reminders

Your paper filing system isn’t smart, in any modern use of the word. It may be streamlined and alphabetized, but that’s about it. And, it won’t remind you when you need to get waivers re-signed. Digital waivers can allow you to be notified when it’s time to be updated, while papers just rest in their little manila folders.

Customer Service

Not only do digital waivers make life easier for you and your trampoline park employees, they also make your customers so much happier. With technology, digital waivers can be linked to each customer, ensuring that every customer is covered. It also ensures that customers can check in, pay, and get to having fun even faster. And when your customers are having fun, you know they’re thinking about coming back already.

Do you need to update your trampoline park software? The stone age isn’t far away when it comes to what we’ve been able to accomplish in the last few years. Give us a call at 1 (888) 500-2618 to book a demo and learn all about what we can help you do.

Books to Get You Ready for Your Entrepreneurial Goals

Are you confused why everyone is crowding the malls, shopping until they max out their credit cards? Some of us take a while to get to the place where we realize we want something more out of life. And though we all still need clothes to wear when it gets cold, we don’t all need all the stuff.

This becomes much more apparent when you’re ready to start your own business. Suddenly, you may find yourself scouring the bookstore shelves to learn how to secure funding or the best ways to manage people. We’ve read almost everything we can get our hands on, and our family entertainment center software reflects that expertise. But, maybe you’re just starting out. Looking for books to read to get you going? Keep reading for a list of classics and new kids on the block.

Self-Employed by Joel Comm and John Rampton

This book is a little bit of a test. Essentially, the book contains stories about real entrepreneurs who made it happen, and asks you to relate. If you don’t? Well, we’re not saying you don’t have the skills, but starting your own business may be easier with them. We all have to choose at some point whether we want to work for someone else or strike out on our own. This may help you decide which kind of person you really are.

Deep Work by Cal Newport

Ah, social media: the ultimate time-waster. This book teaches you how to avoid social media, email chimes, and other distractions that keep you from getting important things done. Being able to dive deep into the work is the goal here.

What If It Does Work Out? by Susie Moore

Passionate about trampoline parks? You know we are. But are you? Moore helps motivate and inspire you to take that leap of faith, and turn your passion into a business. She includes plenty of tips and strategies to get you moving.

Tools of Titans by Tim Ferriss

This behemoth contains highlights and interviews that Ferriss touches on in his podcast, The Tim Ferriss Show. By digging into the minds of some of the most successful and influential, Ferriss allows us to see how other people think. Ready to pick up some new routines and tactics? Grab this brick and attack it over the next year.

The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg

This book explores how habits influence everything we do in life. So, whether you want to quit smoking, or just understand why you put off the things you want to do, this book could be the answer. And yes, this does include tips on how you can change and create new habits to be the person you want to be. But, no, it won’t help you run your trampoline park (though we can help with that).

The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck by Mark Manson

You know how people say, “Don’t sweat the small stuff”? Well, that’s pretty much what Manson says in his hilarious book. Embracing the things that you do well is important, but so is understanding what you’re not so good at. Nice.

You are A Badass by Jean Sincero

Looking for some motivation? Go out and get this book. Sincero aims to give you that shot in the arm you’ve been needing with lines like, “Never apologize for who you are. It lets the whole world down.” Ready for someone to give you a hug and tell you you’re amazing?

Essentialism by Greg McKeown

Looking for more? How about less? This book aims to help you trim the fat and focus on what’s important. So, no more multi-tasking and no more distractions. If it’s not the most important thing, don’t let it take up your time.

What else should be added to the list? Anything we need to read in the new year?

If you’re ready to dive in and start your business next year, we wish you all the luck. And, let’s face it, you’re going to need more than luck. So call us to learn more about the best trampoline park point of sale software in the biz today.

Update: Recap of IATP Conference

If you've been calling us lately, you may have heard us say we've been pretty busy. One of the reasons we've been so busy is the International Association of Trampoline Parks Conference, which was recently held in Amsterdam! We had a pretty great time meeting new people and educating customers and potential customers about all of our amazing features. Keep reading for more about last month's conference!

From May 20 to 22, we got to explore the rapidly expanding world of trampoline parks in Europe. The International Association of Trampoline Parks (IATP) decided Amsterdam was the place to be, and we can't fault them for that. It was a great location that allowed us to meet a lot of people we might not have been able to otherwise.

This conference was similar to past conferences in the best way. We got to attend educational sessions, show off our software's latest features, and network with people from all over the world. It truly offered a great group of people the chance to meet and learn from each other. From other vendors, trampoline park owners, and operators, we certainly kept busy!

Nothing makes us more excited about this industry than being able to connect and help newcomers find their footing. If you're interested in learning more about our software and how it can streamline your business, call us today at 1 (888) 500-2618.

Updates and New Parks: June

Summer always seems to fly by quickly, but this summer has been especially busy for us here at Active8 POS. We've been traveling all over the world helping companies transition to our trampoline park software and even have facilitated some new park openings, too.

Here's what we've been up to lately:

  • Inflatable Planet is our first inflatables park, and we're so happy to have helped them launch their first location in Newcastle. We're branching out from trampoline parks, and can't wait to see how they use our software to bring more bouncing to England. They have five more locations in the works, so keep your eyes peeled for more Inflatable Planets.
  • We helped Planet 3 launch a new location in the early part of May, and we already have another location in the works!

  • Did you attend IATP's 2nd Annual European Conference & Trade Show? We met so many of you, and had a blast making connections in the international trampoline park community. If you missed it, we look forward to seeing you at the next meet up!

As always, if you're looking to up your game with the best point of sale software in the trampoline park business, give us a call today.

Summer Camp Replacement Ideas

The lawnmowers are roaring, the bees are buzzing, and is it just us or are the kids getting louder too? No doubt about it, summer’s starting to roll into town and we’re pulling out all the stops. Keep reading for tips on how to crush this summer’s expectations and keep customers coming back for more!

Know What You’re Up Against

If you’re based in the east coast, chances are that kids start going to summer camp in the next month or so. And though not every summer camp is all summer long like we imagined when we were kids, it can still mean a month or two away from home. How do you compete against something like that? Honestly, it’s a task we can’t recommend. But what you can do is make your trampoline park as fun and exciting to keep the kids who are staying home as happy as if they were camping.

Think about forming your own summer camp, with rotating crafts and s’mores galore. Make it even easier by partnering with a non-profit or after-school program in your area.

Look at what works for your park and try to make it better. Experimentation never hurts! Consider summer camp-themed birthday parties or movies out on the lawn to celebrate summer.

Streamline Your Processes

Worried about adding too much to your park’s offerings? Our trampoline park software can easily be edited to include new snacks and activities. Keep everyone safe with our electronic liability waivers and make sure parents have activities, too! At the end of the day, your job is to ensure people are having fun, and our trampoline park point of sale software helps you do that better than ever.

How Your Customers Can Do Everything Online

*File this under: Easy Peasy*

Americans are spending more and more time online than ever before: we shop, learn, and plan parties all online. We price-compare, fact-check, and dig into the Yelp reviews of various ramen restaurants around town before we head out for dinner. It's safe to say that we love the convenience of staying at home and getting chores accomplished in our pajamas and we're definitely NOT tossing out our laptops anytime soon. How can you use this information to help make your trampoline park a success? Team up with Active8 for family entertainment center software that helps your customers plan their outing right from home!

Keep reading for a few ways your customers can tap into your park (via our trampoline park software) at home.

Ticket Sales

It seems like a no-brainer, but we're still shocked by how many companies don't allow for purchases online. We make buying tickets to your park super easy!

Party Booking

Looking to book a party? Our birthday party booking software is specifically designed to make booking large groups a breeze.

Event Management

Need to make changes to your event, like adding a few extra guests? Not a problem! Your guests don't need to call you to update guest lists. They can just log in to edit and tweak guest lists and food items.

Waivers

The biggest hassle and time-waster in a trampoline park is getting in to have some fun. Even if your park allows for purchases online, chances are good that that's where the convenience ends. Your guests are wondering what's the point of buying tickets online when you still have to wait in line to hand in signed waivers? We allow for parents to sign waivers online. They're linked to the customer in our system so your guests have a speedy check-in experience.

Family & Friend Management

We keep things simple, intuitive, and quick. We looked at how people use trampoline parks and tailored our software to their experience. When was the last time two ten-year olds just showed up at your park by themselves? It's probably pretty rare! So, it just made sense to group people together in who they jump with. Families are linked together to keep everyone organized and happy.

Just remember this when it comes to your customers: the easier the better! Keep thinking about how to streamline processes for your customers. What else would you like to see from Active8 POS to make things easier for your customers?
